Many times we get caught up with the day to day challenges of life. Our jobs, our family, house hold issues that drain the bank, bumping into a pole and denting the car, etc. We forget to pay close attention to our animals and how our emotions affect them. I know all too well what it means to be overwhelmed, but don’t forget all your emotions are felt by your animals. They feel and react to whatever you are going through. If you are happy, they are happy. If you are sad, they are sad. If you are angry, they shy away and worry.
Remember to take time throughout the day when you are in their presence to show how much you love and appreciate them. Look deep into their eyes and connect to their little spirits. Reward them and make sure they know how much they are loved! For me, I sing and shower them with kisses and reinforce how beautiful and good they are.
Sit back and watch your animal children closely. They will show you insights you might have missed otherwise. It’s subtle, but the messages are there. Because they can’t speak to you in your language, they speak in different ways. Listen and learn.
Remember, animals have feelings too.
