The author sure has a knack for words and paints a complete picture with them. AK Driggs was abandoned at birth and vividly recalls stories that she endured as a child coming into adulthood. Somethings that may sound like fiction are actually true, such as the fact that she was left on a toilet seat as an infant. The truth is, truth is stranger than fiction. I admire the author’s tenacity and honesty in portraying her life and history.
This is worth reading and makes for a great airplane or coffee table read. There were parts that seemed to drag a bit, but all in all the book was good. Though I received this book for reviewing purposes, this review is written based on my unbiased opinion
